Banepa (Nepali: बनेपा) is a historic town and municipality located in the heart of central Nepal, about 25 kilometers (16 miles) east of Kathmandu. Nestled in a picturesque valley at an altitude of approximately 1,500 meters (4,900 feet), Banepa is known for its rich cultural heritage, spiritual landmarks, and growing urban development. As of the 2021 Nepal Census,Banepa is home to over 67,690 residents Banepa today is a blend of tradition and progress. It is a growing center for education, healthcare, commerce, and technology.
